Which tool should I use first?
Use them in the same order as the MDAC process itself. Start with the eligibility checker: Singapore citizens, diplomatic passport holders, Malaysian PRs and registered long-term pass holders are exempt, and everyone else entering by air, land or sea must submit the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card.
If you do need one, the submission date calculator tells you the exact days the official portal will accept your card: submission only opens within 3 days of arrival, counted in Malaysia time (UTC+8), so filing too early is the most common reason the arrival date can't be selected.
When your window opens, keep the form walkthrough beside the official form. It covers the fields that trip people up most, such as choosing Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur rather than Selangor for city hotels. Before you fly, run through the pre-departure checklist so your passport validity, return ticket and MDAC confirmation are ready for airline check-in and immigration.
All of these tools are free and run entirely in your browser. None of them submit your MDAC or collect passport details; the card itself is only filed, free of charge, on the official imi.gov.my portal.
